Costa Rica Caribbean & Central Tour (7 days)Enjoy a two-night stay at a mountain lodge in Turrialba. From there you will take day tours to Guayabo National Monument, an archeological ruin of an ancient civilization in the rainforest, dating back perhaps to 2,000 BC and visit a coffee plantation; on the next day, you can choose to visit Irazu Volcano or go white water rafting on the Pacuare (Class III & IV) or Pejibaye Rivers (Class III). Then you have a three-night stay on beautiful Punta Uva beach, only feet from your resort room. You can enjoy optional activities: Canopy/Zipline, bicycle ride, horseback riding, and visits to national parks. On your way back from the Caribbean Coast to the San Jose capital, you can stop at Moravia, a town known for its crafts. Your transfers will be private with your own bi-lingual naturalist guide.
Pacific Triangle Tour (7 days)This is the most popular region for tourism in Costa Rica and offers the best of nature: hike in the rainforest of Monteverde and take a Canopy Tour (optional) on a zip line across the top of the cloud forest; relax at a Hot Springs heated by Arenal Volcano and choose from a variety of activities: horseback riding to La Fortuna Waterfall; Caņo Negro Refuge boat tour; canyoning; Arenal Reserve for zipline and aerial tram through rainforest; Arenal Hanaging Bridges. On the way to the coast, visit Las Pumas Refuge to see up close jaguars, monkeys and birds. Enjoy the beach of Tamarindo on the Pacific coast for surfing and viewing the nesting of the giant leatherback turtles (December through January only), or stay at Ocotal, one of the best locations for scuba diving and snorkeling.
