Fort Recovery Beach Villas

This year we decided to take our family to Fort Recovery Beachfront Villas on Tortola. The villa had three bedrooms and three baths with air conditioning - a must.

We chose the place as it was right on the beach and had a pool. Our children are avid swimmers and snorkelers, so we had plenty of opportunity to snorkel the coral along the coastline and sited many interesting fish. On... [more]e of our sons is very into fishing and every evening he would throw a line out from the dock and catch fish. For the kids, having full b'fast available was a big help. They would eat home fried potatoes, banana pancakes, English Muffin egg sandwiches with fruit plate and hot chocolate.

We also took advantage of the dinners and tried their great appetizers which we loved especially the crab cakes and the hot wings our nightly favorites. Mostly the kids would eat steak or chicken but we adults ventured off into their famous jambalaya with a creole sauce that was sumptuous.

What was nice for me was the ability to wind down the day with a half hour massage and Yoga class. I really felt my practice deepened as we were able to do Yoga on the dock right at the waters edge as the sun was setting. We will be back and are hoping to bring the rest of our family as Fort Recovery seems like a great place to have a family reunion. [less]
