Overall Rating: 10 Location [6] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] This hotel is awesome and very romantic I would recommend couples here. Just make sure you have a nice dress clothers for the evening dinner and men have to have collars at night. The only complant I would have to say is the ride is pretty long and bumpy but once you get there you forget about the bumpy ride also I think they are fixing the roads there so when we go back it should be fixed and no ... [more]complants!!!!!!! [less]

Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] We went for our honeymoon for 7 days. The service in this place was incrediable!!!!!!!! The best part if that its a small hotel so there are never lines for anything. And their food is not buffet and they are a full bar which does not have watered down drinks like most other all inclusive resorts. The staff is extremely friendly. YOU will not be disappointed!!!!!!! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By • Overall, a great experience
Overall Rating: 8 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [8] Overall, my husband and I loved Royal Plantation. We went fr our honeymoon and were treated like royalty all week.
The rooms, furniture, and grounds are absolutely breathtaking and are immaculately kept.
The food was great for the most part. There were two night were my food was undercooked or not cooked to my specifications, but that was quickly remedied. I do think ... [more]they need to have more food options- not every likes seafood or wants to eat the same thing every night (it is basically just seafood, beef, and chicken- they don't stray much from that). The ingredients for the food were always very fresh- try not to miss the watermelon sorbet at Le Papillon- amazing! The drinks were always very cold and I drank strawberry daquiris most of the time and the fruit was always very fresh. The fruits, pastries, and bagels they served at breskfast were always very fresh too and for every meal they gave you huge portions!
The spa left a little to be desired. My manicure and pedicure started chipping within 12 hours of me getting them and let's face it, I was on vacation, I wasn't doing any strenuous activity that would cause this to happen. My husband played golf and said the course was very well laid out and he really enjoyed himself.
The staff was wonderful. They were so willing to help with whatever the guests wanted and by the end of our stay, knew us by our first names and typically what we wanted to drink before we could even tell them. The only problem we had was that the concierge who checked us in was very nice at the beginning, but became rather rude as the week went on and we saw him yelling and speaking condescendingly towards some employees in a very public area of the hotel- any guest could have seen it and we happened to. It was disheartening to see that, especially when we had not had any problems with the staff and if there was a problem, it should have been taken up in private, not in the lobby of the hotel.
Overall, it was great and we would definitely return. [less]
