User reviews for Aruba Marriott Resort & Stellaris Casino
By aruba_spade from Brookly, NY • We just can't wait to go back
Overall Rating: 10 We spent our 34th wedding aniversary at the hotel in 2003. Because the hotel is further away from the other hotels, the setting is very romantic. There were plenty of activities to keep us busy, at nighttime, we could go into the city and enjoy a nice dinner at a resturant our go dancing. We could stay at the casino in house or go elsewhere. The rooms are nice with balcony where you could have a quiet candle light dinner, or breakfast in the morning by ordering room service. He people are all friendly. Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [6] We loved the Aruba Marriott. The people are very eager to please and quite friendly. The hotel is beautiful and the food is fabulous. We especially enjoyed Tuscany, fabulous food and a spectacular wine selection. My two small children had a ball and loved going to the kids camp in the evenings for crafts, fun and dinner. This place has it all.... Can't wait to go back. Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [8] • Service [8] • Value [8] Overall, this was a very good hotel. the resort was clean, the beach was gorgeous, and the pool was huge. My whole family had an amazing time and did not want to leave. The only problem, my sister's, brother's, and my room. the first day they toilet overflowed for no reason and when they came to fix it and hour later, no one cleaned the mess! Also, the room smelled awful. it was unbearable! Then the toilet broke again!Plus, our patio was awful.everyone could see onto it and everything fell onto our balcony from above!and you couldn't see anything. you had to stand on a ledge to see the ocean .And, to top things off, we were in room 350 and our parents were in 321, complete opposite sides of the hotel! But thanks to the friendly manager, we got moved and 3 free nights in a marriot. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By All-Caribbean User from New york • been there done that
Overall Rating: 6 Location [8] • Room [6] • Service [2] • Value [4] | big bathroom, nice beach, nice pool, good drinks | | AWFUL service, not enough beach huts, not much to do |
I hear the Hyatt is the place to stay in Aruba. My fiance` & I stayed here in Sept 04. Staff was SO SLOw & SO RUDE - from concierge to waitstaff- had to argue over every amenity. At one point i said "call my travel agent". One nite it took over half an hour for a brownie sundae dessert. The whole meal didn't take that long. The reserving of beach huts was beyond ridiculous, you had to be out at the buttcrack of dawn to get one, otherwise suffer heat stroke. The only good things were the actual beach, weather, and the bathroom was HUGE & newly renovated. Swim up bar was great. Whole hotel including room was musty-smelling. Bus ride to hotel nearly killed us. No nightlife whatsoever. Casino was TERRIBLE. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By All-Caribbean User from Pittsburgh • One Happy Place!!
Overall Rating: 10 Location [8] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [8] We enjoyed our stay and did not want to leave. This was a safe, fun place to go with many things to do. Highly recommended is El Gaucho's, Jeep or 4 wheeler tour. Hotel was beautiful and service was prompt and friendly. Many great restaurants right on the hotel grounds and nice beach! Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [6] • Value [6] Marriotts are always pretty good, but this one is by far the best ever. The beds were awesome as well as the pillows. The view of the California lighthouse was a VERY special treat. It is the last hotel before the lighthouse, so you are not mobbed by people...only iguanas...they have a habitat for them. The beach was simply gorgeous. We did several tours thru the hotel and they were all first class. I expected a little more from casino, but this isn't Vegas. A couple of doors down from the Marriott is the Holiday Inn. Do not be surprised if you are taking a stroll down the beach and see a topless sunbather.
We had tons of fun! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | |
