Riu Tropical Bay All Inclusive Resort is located in the center of the beach bordering semi-circular, calm-water Bloody Bay, just 4 miles (6 kilometers) from Downtown Negril. The splendid Victorian style resort combines superb service, state-of-the-art accommodation and lively Caribbean ambience. The resort is primarily for adults, although families are welcome and some children's activities are included.

The resort offers 416 guestrooms in seven three-story buildings (no elevators). Rooms are decorated with pale-yellow walls, mahogany-colored furniture, and marble vanities. Ground-floor terraces and balconies are furnished with chairs and cocktail tables. Room amenities include bottled water, cable TV, ceiling fans, hair dryers, daily housekeeping, in room safes, irons and ironing boards, and mini bars.

Riu Tropical Bay is nestled on the fine sand extending 3.25 km (2 mi) around semicircular Bloody Bay. Guests are free to use snorkeling gear, pedal boats, kayaks, windsurfers, and Hobie Cat sailboats. Parasailing, glass-bottom-boat tours, banana-boating, windsurfing and sailing lessons, scuba-diving instruction/certification, and scuba-diving and snorkeling excursions are offered at water-sports center for surcharge. There are two 23-m (75-ft) irregularly shaped pools--one with swim-up bar and 35-person jetted section--flanked by padded lounge chairs. There's also a 3.75-m-diameter (12-ft) pool for children.

Riu Tropical Bay Resort also offers such recreational opportunities as tennis on two lighted courts, bocce, beach soccer, and beach volleyball. Negril Hills Golf Club is 14 km (8.75 mi) away. There is also a two-room health spa with unisex sauna and five-person spa tub. An air-conditioned fitness center features cardio and weight machines.

To cater to guests dining needs, Riu Tropical Bay has three restaurants onsite. Negril, the main restaurant with nonsmoking area and terrace, offers buffet-style dining and show-cooking stations. Others offer diverse dining options, including Japanese and Italian cuisine. The cordial staff of Riu Tropical Bay Resort is always attentive to every guests need.
