By lynmcdermott2003 from Uk • overall very poor ! basic no were near the rating it should have
Overall Rating: 2 Location [2] • Room [2] • Service [2] • Value [2] This hotel is under investigation,be warned do not go there.I was there in march 2005.
There were a lot of people seriously ill with gastroenteritis. The water supply was erratic .You could not wash at times when you had diahroea.
I have never experienced any thing like it in all the years of travelling.
The food was awful, drink watered down.It would be ideal place to become a... [more]norexic which was the state I was in when I return .I won't add anything more to this except to pray for the poor souls unfortunate to be put here for the duration.
It is a third world country with the same standards.
I went so far and experience nothing as I could not recover from the severe effect's of being ill due to the food etc. [less]

Overall Rating: 6 Location [4] • Room [6] • Service [6] • Value [8] Liked the entertainment very funny and energetic! the pools were quite clean, can't complain and the cleaners, really do make an effort but tell then no flowers in your room as little flies come in off these and are really annoying, the food was o.k but quite similar every night, not to keen on the bugs as we saw quite a few but your room will be exterminated if you request it.
Disliked... [more] how the locals were treat better that the rest of us often getting served first, the security guards leer at you if your 2 girls. Didn't meet any ill people but could tell by my rep's face that somethings have been going on as i questioned her at the welcome meeting and she changed the subject and said things were fine at the mo, we wud prob not go again as it's quite far away from anywere and daily bus is not reliable - good luck and pot luck [less]

Overall Rating: 8 Location [10] • Room [8] • Service [10] • Value [8] Camino del sol/Paraiso del sol is definitely worth the money one pays for. The hotel is dirrectly on the beach which makes it very convinient to enjoy the sun. They offer rental of Villas.
The food is tasty but not extrordinary. There are various bars scattered on the property and all drinks are free. Three large pools.
There are nightly shows on the south part of the hotel. The perf... [more]ormers are great and are very talented. Very entertaining and fun for everyone.
Though they do offer soap and towels for the rooms, I took and used my own. Tip: bring a more comfortable pillow. The staff is very nice and will ensure that any issue is resolved. Definitely recmommended for vacation even a family vacation. [less]
