We spent two weeks here and spent almost every day on the beach. It was the second and third week in November 2005 and the weather the first week was fabulous. The second week was a little more rain, but really of no consequense. The grounds are very well maintained and the beach is clean.

Perhaps our one complaint would be the quality of the food. Both the buffet and the specialty restaurants could have had higher quality food. By the end of two weeks it all tasted pretty much the same and we were happy to get home to really good restaurants.

We had traded time shares for both weeks and had the option of paying a little more for the "First Club" which was well worth the extra cost. The staff was terrific. We would go back again.

It was absolutely the most beautiful beach and ocean i've ever seen. The water was as clear as bath water. The pool was huge. The rooms were clean. There was some trouble communicating, they knew a little english-but was hard to understand. The food was horrible!!!!! The kids were tickled when we found a place on the beach that served hot dogs and hambergers, but they were not like anything they have ever ate, definitly mystery meat. They try to advertise as kid friendly, but I found it to be a very inappropriate place for kids. The top reason being the lack of clothes, It would have been wonderful if someone had said this is a topless beach! But even worse, two women stripped completely naked and changed their clothes right on the beach. As an american, most of us find it inappropriate to get naked in front of other people's kids, but these people did'nt care. It felt like a very sexual atmosphere and we were stuck there for a week with a 7, 11 and 12 year old. Theye saw more tits in there young lives than most adults have. The topless people were suppose to stay at the beach, but they didnt, so even the pool became an uncomfortable place to be with kids. You can complain, but it wont do any good. They will do nothing about it. So it depends on what kind of vacation you want, I would not recomend this place for family fun.

IT IS JUST NOT GOOD WE WERE GOING TO A NICE HOTEL AND WE ENDED UP IN A CRAPPY HOTEL THAT ONLY HAS ONE POOL NO GOOD FOOD!!!

This resort is an excellent choice for all and all people. (Family,Singles,Couples,Etc) Excellent beach and pool area, excellent location, great service and great food (Choices galore). there is a lot of to do. the enterteinment team was excellent, allways working more that 12 hours a day with a great smile. Dominicans are very hospitable people. I must say, the "Allegro Club" Pitch from the manager of the "CLUB" was quite misleading, so be aware. they'll said anything to make you "BUY" or "JOIN" the Allegro Vacation Club. it was very dissapointing for me and I lost money on this too. but overall the place is great for a great relaxing and enjoyable VACATION......I can't wait to go back......

I can't think of things that i disliked about the hotel. The only thing that would fall under this category is that you have to "claim" your seat under the umbrellas at the pool very early, and VERY VERY early to get one in the shade on the beach. I was there for a week and only managed one shady day on the beach. Instead I would spend the morning on the beach with the breeze from the ocean, and the afternoon at the pool in the shade when the sun was the hottest. It really wasn't a problem.

This place is excellent. Period . It is good for families, because children have a lot of activities and also good for couples because the night time activities are great. But what it is the diamond in this resort is the staff. Every employee, in the restaurants, ies, in the activities at the beach, the ladies in the towels room, are giving 100% to satisfy you.

We had a great time and guess, we are coming back this year again.

Me and my friend went down there for spring break 2005. I've been all over the world, and this was the best vacation I'd ever been on. If you're the partying type, the beach goer or just the kind of person who likes to relax, this is the right spot. It's fine dinning and excellent staff make it the best all inclusive I've ever been to. They have activities for all ages (Beer drinking contests, sports, water sports, the disco which is basically an awesome club, a stage with nightly entertainment). The facilities were excellent, and no matter what the time of the day the hotel staff were always willing to help...even if it was 5:30am and you are blitzed. GO here, you will not regret it!

Both my husband and I spent a week at this resort from March 14-21 05. After much thinking, we said that we would not go back to this resort. The grounds were kept very neat. The pool was wonderful. The ocean had much to much seaweed. The room was clean and neat at all times. The food was constantly recycled over and over again. The lobby bar closed at 11 pm therefore, you had to go outside where all the noise was. The shows were entertaining. The restaraunts left little to be desired and you can only make three reservations during your stay. The late night snack bar again had recycled food over and over again. As for leaving the resort, there was nothing else around. The casino was very tiny with only machines. I would suggest anyone going, research other places first. Oh another thing, the weather was wonderful.

We were there in march 2004 for our spring break, this is where they need upgrades
- kids club ,my kids were never approched about it, from discussion with other vacationers they seem to cater to younger kids, nothing for 8 to 12 year old.
-outdoor games (badminton, kayaks, snorkeling) all need improvement , a lot of items are broken , run down and need replacement.
- if they say their upgrade is finished ,they better put another 6 million in the place because the rooms are noisy and did not seem renovated. ask for rooms away from the stage the view is not good ( we had a back alley)but there is less noise.also you are given your daily dose of soap and shampoo in recycled bottles in different shapes and colors. god only knows who had them before
-I would not recommend this to a family like ours( 2+2) but if cheap is what u are looking for and boozing it up is what you need , you wont even notice what i have just said.

bottom line this is not a 3 or 4 star resort, and we would not go back,
