I LOVEDD THE ATMOSPHERE OF THE RESORT. IT WAS A PEACEFUL HAPPY PLACE. THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SUGGESTING PLACES TO SHOP AND TOURS TO TAKE. THEY HAVE THREE RESTURANTS AT THE RESORT BUT I ONLY ATE AT THE BUFFET BECAUSE EVERY NIGHT WAS SOMETHING DELICIOUS AND DIFFERENT. I GIVE THE BUFFET A 10 ON A SCALE OF 1 - 10. THE BEDS IN THE ROOMS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE. THERE IS A SHUTTLE BUS THAT DROPS YOU OFF TO THE NIGHT CLUBS ON THE STRIP AND PICKS YOU BACK UP. THEY HAVE LIVE BANDS AND DISCO NIGHTS AT THE RESORT. THERE IS PLENTY OF ENTERTAINMENT THERE. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN IT IS A GREAT PLACE TO TAKE THEM. THEY HAVE A MINI GOLF COURSE FOR KIDS AND THEY ARE BUILDING A NEW WATER SLIDE THAT THE KIDS AND THERE PARENTS ARE GOING TO LOVE. I CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK NEXT YEAR. I ALREADY HAVE RESERVATIONS. IF YOU WANT A GREAT PLACE TO GO VACATION THAT IS NOT TO EXPENSIVE, THEN THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU. THERE WAS NOTHING ABOUT THIS RESORT THAT I DID NOT LIKE. THAT'S THE HONEST TRUTH.

Sunset Beach is a lovely location.The beaches are very nice and the sea is crystal clear. The only dislike I could say would be the snack bar it needs cleaning up a bit its very run down. If you stay at this hotel I would request a garden room they have great views on the first floor.

Wife and I had a great time! We upgraded from a "garden view" room, to the "ocean front" hi-rise, and never looked back!
Sunsets were truly beautiful, beaches clean and safe. The food was, well, I'm still longing for another plate of jerk ANYTHING!
All inclusive is most certainly the way to go. We even fell in love with the lobby!
Staff was friendly and helpful, the tours were great, a must was climbing the falls in Ochos Rios, and the lazy raft trip down the river!

Stayed there over new years day. They had a great party for new years eve with beautiful setup of food and drink. Had many tables set up and all had a great time. Rooms were standard and bed were comfortable (not hard). Chinese & Italian Restaurants were good. Buffet was okay, been to better. Also loved the jerk chicken, frys, etc. The staff was very friendly and most helpful also. Also they take American money and no need to exchange to their currancy. I would stay there again. Safe and clean.

Our party of 6 have been going to Sunset Beach for 5 years now Jan. 2005 to be our 6th. We love everything about it!!! The people are very polite and responsive to your needs, the food is great, the beach is clean and everything you could ask for is there for you. It is a place to HAVE FUN! If you want total quiet and seclusion this is not your place. Everyone at Sunset is there to have a VACATION out of every day life. I would recomend it to all and they are very family oriented too. If you need anything special see Barbie at the front desk she is THE BEST

Wonderful place to be. Needs a little "touch up" here and there, but it's so clean. The staff is incredible and treat you with such respect. If you go, you'll have a great time. If you don't know how to have fun, you won't!!! Food is wonderful, don't miss the jerk chicken in the grill. Get involved with the activities and you'll meet some great people. Snorkeling is good if you swim out to the coral. I fell in love with this place and the people. The waterpark is suppose to be done by Feb. 1.

My wife and 19 yr old son went Aug 17 thu 22 and it was the best time I have had in a long,long time the resort was great we never left the resort. their was so many things to do for all of the family. we have been to many places my wife works for a airline. but this had to be the best, I would suggest that if you can go, THEN GO.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sunset Beach Resort April 2-8, 2004. This was our first trip out of the country(USA) together and I must admit I was a little hesitant at first, but once we got to the resort we were instantly ready to relax. The resort is gorgeous and the staff is excellent. The internet photos of the resort do not capture its rare beauty. The resort is 10 times more beautiful in person. We stayed for five days and were not ready to leave. The food is excellent and available anytime (as well as the drinks)An all-inclusive trip is definitely the way to go! We took a tour of the mountains on horseback which was the greatest experience of my life. The trail ended at the beach where we took the horses running in the ocean. The tour staff was equipped with digital cameras and we were able to get a full CD of pictures taken of us while on the tour and in the ocean. I love the resort so much because it is so laid back. It is not infested with silly rules or bounderies. You are free to do whatever, whenever!! Shopping is great too, vendors come to the resort to sell authentic crafts at great prices. The gift shops on the resort are stocked full of great stuff too. Having said all this, I have one bit of advice......You need at least 10 days on the resort. A week will only make you drool for more! I highly recommend this special place. The beach is incredible!!!!

My wife and I have visited Sunset Beach Resort and Spa two times and we are extremely satisfied. It a hidden gem of Montego Bay. The resort only operates on word of mouth advertising, so they dont have to over charge you to stay with them. The flavor of Jamaica is well accented at this resort, from the awsome spa, gym, and swim up bars, to the sand volleyball, mini golf, and Au Natural Beach. This place would satisfy a broad cross section of people, it is very kid friendly, but if you dont have or dont like kids never fear, they arent allowed near the Au Natural Beach. So give them a try, tell them Eric from Fulton, MO sent you! You will really enjoy this place.
