I´d give this hotel a O if I could, but that´s not an option. I had a 1500 US dollar laptop and about 100 US dollars in dominican pesos stolen from my LOCKED ROOM and the hotel denied resposibility even though it was fairly clear the maid entered the room and stole these things. DO NOT STAY HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Great location right on el conde street.You could wake up and have breakfast on a shaded deck watching poeple walk down el conde. Also, right across the street from it is Meson de Luis, which is a great place to eat. Meson de Luis has amazing food,prices, and service. Staying at Mercure commercial puts you right in the center of the old world carm the Dominican Republic has to offer.
