On the tiny Caribbean island of Green Turtle Cay, the Green Turtle Club & Marina sits far from the casinos and traffic of New Providence. The island is a secluded paradise, reachable by a 15 minute ferry ride from mainland Abaco to the club's reception dock. Green Turtle Cay is three miles long, and the club's property is prime, nestled against the crescent of a sparkling natural harbor. The island's only diving shop, Brendal's Dive Center, is adjacent to the property. A breezy two mile commute in rentable golf carts puts guests in the charming island village of New Plymouth.
The Green Turtle Club & Marina offers fine sandy beaches for swimming and lounging. However, the popular 40 slip marina is the anchor of the property. English mariner and shipbuilder Allan Charlesworth established the Green Turtle Yacht Club in 1965, after discovering the natural harbor while yachting in the Abaco Islands. The marina offers boat rentals and chartered fishing trips, while Brendal's Dive Center provides professional diving expeditions. The acclaimed Club Restaurant, overlooking the marina, features fresh Abaco Sea catches with new menus nightly.
