The no tipping policy was not followed on multiple occasions

1. Upon arrival to our room, we discovered that there were ants in our bed, in fact, the room was swarming with them. We contacted Guest Services immediately. Guest services wanted to spray pesticide. I refused because I am allergic to pesticide. Upon my refusal, I was given another room within a few hours. The new room did not have an ant problem but had a flying cockroach in the room.

2. Minor requests for food were denied, including listed menu items which we were told were not available.

3. Many of the promised services that were part of the holiday package and costs were not available such as Scuba Diving. We enquired only to find that it was fully booked for the entire week, with a waiting list.

4. On many occasions when we enquired for the holiday package services we were sent to different locations, only to find that we had been sent to the wrong desk/location. By the time we tracked down where the staff should have sent us. The activity was either fully booked or left for the day.

5. The no tipping policy was not followed on multiple occasions.

6. The shuttle from Montego Bay to Ocho Rios was 2.5 hours and did not have a rest stop.


I have booked with MLT Worry Free Vacations on other occasions and have come to expect a high standard of Holiday and entertainment enjoyment. I most definitely did not have it on this trip. All of my comments were included on the comment card turned in at check out to management.

My husband and I got married at Couples Ocho Rios and it was absolutely perfect. I can't say enough about this place. The best thing about it is the VALUE -- we went in May and the rates were very reasonable plus they really do include everything. At other resorts they will charge extra for motorized sports but at Couples it is free. They are so accomodating -- I like to waterski a lot and they would take me whenever I wanted to go. Also, the snorkeling is great and you can go as many times as you want -- all included! We didn't scuba but that is also included. We have been to other "all-inclusives" that were more luxurious, and they will charge you extra for many things while Couples had it free -- even free internet use! The only cons were that the beach is small (same with all the Ocho Rios resorts) and they need to upgrade their pool although we did enjoy the diving board. We are definetly going back - we can't wait!

Went her for my 10 year wedding anniversary. The most romantic atmoshere I have ever been in. Beautiful ocean views from just about every area of the resort. Quiet romantic settings set throughout the property. Exclusive island for quests to sun bathe ala naked. Came home with the best souviner ever, our son was born exactly 9 months later.

My husband and I chose Couples for our wedding in 1995. It was perfect and everyone went out of their way to make it so. We were treated like we were the only couple there from the beginning to the last day. My husband promised he would take me back for our 5th anniversary and he surprised me with the trip on Mother's Day. It was as perfect as the first time. The rooms are beautiful, the food is great. We love this resort so much that we planned another trip with our friends 2 yrs. later. Again it was everything we promised our friends it would be. We will be married 10 yrs. in June, 2005 and it would be wonderful to return again. Obviously, we love this resort.We have wonderful memories there. Thank you

If you want to have one of the most relaxing vacations.... book this trip! We were married at the resort and try to get back every year! Splurge and get the Oceanfront suite... the extra closet and living space, awesome tub and mini bar is worth the few extra dollars! Keep in mind that you will not be in the United States! The roads are awful and the country is terribly poor, however, when you drive through the gates at Couples, you will feel like you are stepping onto palace grounds... and you are the king and queen! Have a wonderful time, meet new friends from all over the world.... get up early and play golf, take a sunfish out sailing, dive, lay in a hammock, have a Red Stripe and tell Eddie at the piano bar hello!!! IRIE!

My husband and I stayed at the Couples resort for our honeymoon. The seven days we stayed was paradise! The people are friendly, the grounds were neat, the beaches were clean, and everyone takes pride in what they do. The only problem was Air Jamaica airlines. They were not too friendly or timely!

For my 30th b-day, my boyfriend and I stayed at Couples Ocho Rios. I had the time of my life! The staff was very helpful and extremely courteous; the food was even excellent! I stayed in a deluxe oceanview room which was well kept. The view of the ocean was beautiful. I almost forgot about the entertainment. One word - awesome! Also,I had a chance to look at the one-bedroom suite, and would definitely recommend (that is if it fits in the budget). The resort left a very good impression on me that I am currently making plans to visit next year. This was the best vacation I have ever had!

The resort was GREAT! Great food, swim up pool bar was cool, the snorkeling was great-once they found out that we were pro`s at it they left us out from the boat, explored and swam back at our pace. We caught Lobster which they cooked for us too! Air Jamica was terrable though!! The first plane would not START! We ended up geting there 24 hours late-and NO refund!

The resort was very nice and the staff was very friendly. My fiance and I were treated like royalty when we went. The only drawback is the food - I didn`t like the native Jamaican food too well, but the Italian place (Bay Side) is excellent! The shopping trip was a little scary - its best to shop at the duty free gift shop on the resort (it saves a lot of time and hassle). We especially enjoyed the snorkeling lesson and the tennis lesson.

MY HUSBAND AND I SPENT A WEEK AT COUPLES IN FEBRUARY 2002 FOR OUR HONEYMOON. WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME. THE FOOD WAS GREAT, OUR FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH SCUBA WAS AWESOME. THE STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND NIGHTLY ENTERTAINMENT WAS EXCELLENT. WAS REASONABLY PRICED! GREAT EXPERIENCE!

My husband and I honeymooned at Couples Ocho Rios, and we had the greatest time! They treat you like royalty from the moment you arrive with a glass of champagne and a cool cloth while you wait to check in. The food was wonderful, and the activities gave us plenty to do. I recommend the trip to Dunn`s River Falls. Jamaica has the most easy-going people I`ve ever seen; they definitely make you forget that there is a crazy world to come back to when you leave! We are already planning an anniversary trip for the future.
