User reviews for Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort And Casino
By All-Caribbean User from Houson, Texas • Wonderful, homy and friendly
Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] The rooms are small but very clean. Staff is well trained but not fake. Nice atmosphere, you want to stay and live there. Great food in the restaurants. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By emnaylor from New York, NY • Best Hotel In Aruba
Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [8] • Service [10] • Value [8] The Hyatt is by far the best hotel in Aruba. I've stayed there the last 4 of the 6 times I've been to Aruba and would not stay anyplace else. While I found the Radisson to be nice, it was a bit boring and quiet. The rooms are set far back from the beach as well. The Hyatt is much more lively, with bands and karoake at night and a lively beach bar as well. The beach in front of the Hyatt is the nicest area of Palm beach by far. As for service, I've never had an issue whatsoever.
The rooms could use an upgrades but plenty sufficient. I would not choose the Radisson even though the rooms may be a little nicer due to the renovation. After all, you're not there to hang out in your room! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By All-Caribbean User from New Jersey • I was very disappointed
Overall Rating: 2 Location [10] • Room [2] • Service [10] • Value [4] We stayed at the Hyatt on 6 occasions. The place was perfect the first 5, but our last trip 2 years ago was a major disappointment. The carpet was filthy, the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling. I sent a note to the hotel stating my unhappiness and they never had the courtesy to even respond. I wasn't looking for any freebies, just acknowledgement that my letter was received and possibly even had merit. So, we decided to not return the Hyatt in the future. This year we are staying at the Radisson which we are expecting to be significantly better, and cheaper, than the Hyatt. Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] My wife and I origanally went to the Hyatt for our honeymoon and had the best time of our lives there. Since that vacation 3 years ago we have returned to the hyatt 6 times twice a year, we love it we are addicted. The staff is so friendly and the hotel is located oin the best part of the beach. We have also met many people who stay there year after year.
Tip: Wake up early and get a hut for some shade on the beach!! Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By All-Caribbean User from Nashua, NH • Hyatt--August 2005
Overall Rating: 10 We just got back from our stay at the Hyatt in Aruba. It was amazing. We had such a wonderful time. The rooms were so fresh and clean and the beach was beautiful. It was a great location because boat rentals, etc. were right there on the beach. It ended up being VERY expensive. 15% gets added to everything so don't be surprised to pay $21.00 for two pina coladas or $16.00 for two beers. We were prepared to make this a great trip and spend money so we weren't overly concerned but if I were going back with the kids, I wouldn't (be able to) stay there. I would opt for an all-inclusive because I couldn't help but think how much we would have been spending if our kids were with us (tubing, drinks, food, etc.)
The food at all of the restaurants (and room service) was VERY good. The bartenders were a lot of fun! Ask for an "oh la la" at the Palms (beach bar). It's a special of one of the jollier bartenders and is not on the menu but it was FANTASTIC!!! Hubert was also a great bartender and we enjoyed the nightly karoke at the palms (beach bar)...
You've also got to check out the restaurant Flying Fish Bones (and request Jennifer as your waitress if you can). (It's not at the resort but about a 25 min. cab ride and well worth it). It was outstanding (go at sunset time) and Jennifer really helped to make it that way.
Ruinas del Mar at the Hyatt was phenomenal as well. The food was great and you can't beat the ambience.
I left kicking and screaming and I'm already looking into booking my trip back!

Overall Rating: 10 Location [10] • Room [10] • Service [10] • Value [10] First, let me start by saying that wherever I go, if there is a Hyatt, I stay there.
I never experienced the island of Aruba until May of 2000. When I first visited, I was in love and it was perfect for romance, shopping, dining, etc., all of the things that cause a new romance to blossom.
Upon arrival, the taxi driver told us that we were staying at the best hotel on the island. That was an understatement. The open, airy, lobby to the rooms that are impecabbly decorated and with a view to die for. That was just the beginning. There were stores inside the hotel (I thought I was in heaven) an artist just outside the lobby painting scenery from the island (I bought two of the Natural Bridge). It was more than I could have imagined.
Everyone was so nice and the service at all of the restaurants, front desk, room service, just everywhere, was great. I am no longer with my fiance, but I still remember Aruba and so does he. I will be there again on June 16-20th at the Hyatt. Was this review helpful to you? → YES / NO | | By All-Caribbean User from nyc • i am not staying here next time
