They will tell you that the water and
the ice is fine to drink, (except for
the tap water) - DON'T BELIEVE IT !

At least a third of the group that I
was in had terrible intestinal problems
from the second or third day on.

Nice beach, but rooms are terrible.
I couldn't enjoy the beach because I was
way too sick.

This trip was a complete waste of money,
it literally went down the toilet.

Paradise beach resort and casino is Amazing!! just come home from a 2 week stay, it was the best holiday i've ever had. The staff are amazing. Blackie, jonathan spagetti and the 'Animacion' team put on a great show every night, (if you don't mind audience participation).The waiters are good (Alejandra :)) The food was good, but got abit repetative towards the end, but we only ate away from the hotel once. Our room was very clean, and nice and cool! thanks to air con. the weather is sweltering, so retreating to the rooms (or the bars) between 12 and 3 is recommendable. Our room was right on the beach, its private with security guards patrolling, so keep your wristbands on at all times, (if it falls off like mine did after being pulled in the pool by blackie lol inform hotel staff) The hotel is in a really good location a 2 min walk form the playa dorada plaza. If you are going to go on any tours, organize them through your rep, Do NOT organize them with beach sellers. I Recommend the outback safari!. All in all a good holiday and i will certainly be returning to this resort in the future.

I was very skeptical about my vacation to the Dominican Republic, it was like alot of this is what you're going to see, this is how it is. But, it wasn't like that at all. The welcoming that you get in the airport is to last you a life time. I say this because you have a group of musicians welcoming you to the Dominican Republic with merengue music(there was a guiro, congas, guitara, etc.) We had someone pick up our luggages (I went on vacation with my boyfriend) and directed us to our shuttle bus. As soon as we checked in, our room was ready (we were upgraded to a suite, viewing the beach on the first floor). The minute we got there we meet our cleaning lady (maid as they call them)she welcomed us with our towels which we didn't have in the room. The first day there's not much to do because we were assigned to a tour guide person the next day. Our tour guide was Julio and he was great he explained most about the hotel and excursions and fun activities we could enjoy with extra charge of course (nothing is free)there is activities that you could do that is part of the all inclusive package. Every day we woke up to great breakfast at the buffet called Hibiscus from 7am-10am, lunch was from 12:30pm-?, snack 12pm-4pm at Edens. Dinner from 6:30pm-10pm at the buffet or you could make reservations at Edens or Michelangelos (men need to wear long pants). Edens midnight snack was great that's until 1am. Alcholic beverages start at 11am-4am depending which bar. There is a pool bar, beach bar and there is a third but I can't remember the name. The workers are pleasant. I came back everyday from breakfast and the pool at around 11am and my suite always had a different arrangement to it my maid would make swans out of towels either in the bathroom or on my bed and she would put flowers on there head. My boyfriend and I went horse back riding (not the 1 hour one) which was great. We went on the funny bikes, and we went to Paradise Island (for an extra charge)and it was well worth it. We also went to the city to visit his family and that went well. We too, rented a motorcycle for a day and that's how I did my shopping. It was great, the people were great and we had a great time. My boyfriend and I also won a couples contest. I recommened a vacation to the Dominican Republic, a stay in Paradise Hotel, Playa Dorado.

P.S. The pool and beach are superb but make sure you are up extra early (7am) to hold a seat or two by the pool.

I also recommened having single wrapped candy to give out to the children (you will see children when you book tours outside of the hotel) and alot of single dollar bills for tips.

I was a little afraid after reading some comments about this place, but since the very beginning of my stay in Paradise Beach Resort I was very pleasantly surprise to find out that the service was great. I was given a suite instead of the standard room, and it was very spacious and comfortable .The air conditioning was blasting the whole time sometimes I turned it off because it was so cold, the hot water was always available .The room was kept clean the whole time and even have flowers every day. Also every thing was very convenient and the pool nigth shows every nigth was something to remember it was beautiful!!!!.
The food was a variety of diferent cultures menu and what I did was to sample a little bit of every thing and we were so satisfied with the buffet that didn't even used the reserved restaurant dinner.The bar service was very nice, efficient and friendly.However I would like to have the bar open more hours, they close at 1 am and sometimes I wasn't ready to go to bed yet. another thing is that the Crazy Moon Disco open thursday,friday and saturday and I went home wanting to dance a little bit more, other than that every thing else was great .I want to recomended this place to anybody that want to have a good time with less money and still feel satisfied in all aspects.We certainly will be back!!

My boyfriend and I wanted to get away somewhere and enjoy ourselves and that we did at paradise. The service was great and we enjoyed the food everynight. The only con was that there was not a exciting night life if you are a party animal, but if you like the casino life and just hanging out then you will have a great time.

We have been bringing our children every other year since they were 6 and 8 years old. They love going there and doing the excursions. The hotel is a little older but you only sleep and change. I would recommend that if you go to the Paridise that you get a suite if you have a family. It's nicer to have a little more room space. My kids like going and getting there own pop at the bar. Alan is fun to watch and toss his bottles and ice in the air. All in all we can't wait to go again in 2006.

One of my girlfriends and I just got back from Paradise beach Resort.... IT WAS INCREDIBLE.....the room that we got was pretty small and it wasnt all that luxurious..HOWEVER....the food was great..and always available.. the best was teh midnight snack bar...i miss it already... there is always entertainment happenening in the pool area..and on the beach they have activities as well.. the weather was HOT HOT HOT..we had the cleanest part of the beach.....it was just clear blue water...the other locations were full of seaweed and rocks.... were both 20yrs old and were scared that the night life would suck... WE WERE WRONG.. at about 11pm all the people our age come out too party... we met alot of people from all over canada and the states and europe... we would all go to Hemingways.. (which is located outside our hotel but within the resort...) the "crazy moon disco" is a flop i wouldnt pay to get in i would stick to Hemingways... it has a variety of music....and alot of people from other hotels go there.. i wouldnt buy anything from the resort stores they are extremely over priced.. i would take the time to walk down the beach to the "flee market" where you can buy alot of stuff for a less amount of $$$$$.......Be careful with the some of the safari packages... dont buy any from the dudes on the beach.. its a scam... i would go to the local plaza and i recoment the Jeep Safari.. you get too see D.Rep's fruites how they make coffee...their traditional crafts.. their way of life... the children and the best part of it all.. you get to go on a 20 minute hike through the most beautiful forest ever... and then you have the option of climbing the water fall and then sliding and jumping back down... it was incredible...

Overall i would recomend this resort the people that work there are passionate about their job and go that extra mile to please you..... the rooms i would go with a higher end room if you care for that... we would only sleep in our room so we didnt mind that it was small however if you prefer bigger rooms i would stay away from the standard room.....this location has a variety of ages.. so its good for people of all ages....

We've been there for 5 years and loved every moment spent there! The people are so incredibly wonderful, we loved the food-it was all so good, the hospitality and everything is absolutely terrific. The rooms are always well cleaned and it is just a terrific time when we're there! They're not like top 100 rooms or anything but you're only there to sleep and change other than that you have plenty of things to do!

The Paradise staff went out of their way to make this a great vacation. The resort shows its age in places, but shows its machurity as well, great shows, fun and freindly staff and very good food.
